On the Lightstation grounds is the fully functioning lighthouse that commenced operations on 30th June 1859 and every night thereafter, including its own Museum. Four historic former lightkeepers cottages built in
1859, 1887 and 1939 can accommodate 22 people in fully self contained 1-3 bedroom dwellings and one motel styled room. Surrounded by
magnificent costal views with access to bushwalks, the Cape Schanck Lightstation allows visitors to recreate the simple life of a bygone era.
