MT STURGEON ESTATE

Mt Sturgeon Estate, is a fully operating sheep station nestled at the base of the looming Mount Sturgeon. The original woolshed, shearers' cottages and the beautifully restored sandstone and bluestone homestead remain as testament to the estate's rich colonial past.

Guests of the Mt Sturgeon Estate have full access to hotel facilities and complementary transfers to and from the hotel can be arranged for diners.

At the historic Mt Sturgeon Homestead luxury and pastoral character go hand in hand to create an elegant rural retreat.

Adorned with period furnishings and fine colonial artwork, the refined grace and style of the 1800s sandstone and bluestone homestead, once home to the Armytage family of Como House, Melbourne, provides a warm welcome into Australia's rich colonial past.

The homestead is set on 70 acres of manicured lawns and gardens. From the wide timber veranda, framed by restored wrought iron lacework, guests can enjoy the panoramic views of the Grampians and lawns, which lead down to the Wannon River, gardens and historic fruit orchard.

This exclusive residence provides accommodation for up 12 guests, formal dining and lounge rooms, fully equipped kitchen with informal dining room, sitting room, laundry, four bathrooms, central heating, private drive, a tended vegetable garden and outdoor seating. Breakfast provisions are also provided.

MT STURGEON COTTAGES

The homestead provides the perfect base for walks into the Grampians National Park and may be used as a luxurious rural getaway, a superb wedding venue or for corporate meetings, conferences and retreats.

The historic bluestone cottages, on the Mt Sturgeon Estate, provide a truly unique rural sanctuary. The 1840s cottages were once the property's shearers' and cook's quarters and have now been fully restored and beautifully refurbished to provide comfort and relaxation in a tranquil rural setting with stunning views of Mount Sturgeon and the surrounding grounds.

In keeping with the peaceful setting there is no television or phone.

1 & 2 BEDROOM COTTAGES

One and two bedroom cottages provide luxury accommodation and unique water tank bathrooms. Facilities include kitchenette with microwave, toaster and electric frypan, open lounge and dining area with open fire and leather sofas, outdoor seating area, breakfast provisions and barbecue.
