The exterior is of particular interest for its elaborate diaper patterned brickwork and polychromatic voussoirs and the apse focussing upon a three-light window. The interior retains its timber fittingts, stained glass and Fincham pipe organ of 1887. The crenellated tower was added in 1922. Organ first Classified 4/5/89 Revised: Classified Regional 3/8/98 Organ Statement of Significance A two-manual organ of 17 stops built in 1886-7 by George Fincham and the first built by him in Victoria employing tubular-pneumatic key and stop actions. Subsequent alterations have included the installation of new underactions and a new console, and the obliteration of the diapering of the facade pipes by gold paint. The instrument is a fine and complete example of a Fincham organ of the period whith the original tonal scheme surviving intact.
