Volunteers

ABOVE: La Trobe Cottage opens on Sundays afternoon 2 - 4 pm and for booked tours on other days. Visitors are taken on guided tours through the property. The volunteers pictured above are some of the friendly La Trobe guides.

Event volunteers are essential to the success of activities that promote Trust goals whilst fundraising to support the upkeep of Trust buildings, gardens and landscapes.

If you are interested in assisting at a Trust event, check our website www.nattrust.com.au for upcoming events at our properties, in both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. Opportunities for Event Volunteers are also posted on this page and via Seek / GoVolunteer.

Want to know more about volunteering with the Trust?

The National Trust is in regular need of committed volunteers to assist with maintaining its activities throughout the state. Volunteers support a small paid staff at Head Office and at our historic properties by generously giving their time, skills and experience.

Have you considered extending your experience, learning new skills and enriching your life by becoming involved as a volunteer with the National Trust? Orientation and training is provided. A regular commitment of at least one day a fortnight, over a 12-month period, is generally required.
