Barwon Park, a National Trust of Australia (Vic) property built in 1871 for Thomas and Elizabeth Austin, is a majestic 42-room bluestone mansion and stables set in a sweeping rural landscape.

The Mansion is one of the largest and most distinctive homesteads of the Western District. Outstanding architectural features include the novel cast iron veranda, a monumental entrance hall and magnificent central staircase. Largely in its original condition, Barwon Park resonates with the glory of Victoria’s pastoral heritage.

WEDDING CEREMONY

The magnificent entrance hall and central staircase backed by colourful stainglass windows provides a stunning and romantic location for your wedding ceremony. Guests can gather in the hall and witness the wedding unfold in regal surrounds.

Wedding ceremonies may also take place at the front of the Mansion forming an impressive backdrop. Barwon Park also has other locations available for wedding ceremonies, please ask for details.

PHOTOGRPAHY

Barwon Park offers breathtaking backdrops for wedding photography. Park your bridal car at the front door for a wonderful photographic reminder of your special day.
On entering the mansion, people are struck by the splendour of the entrance hall, the magnificent central staircase and lofty arches all of which provide stunning opportunities for romantic wedding photographs.
The garden, sweeping verandas and historic stables also provide attractive locations for your photographs.

ENCLOSED COURTYARD FOR RECEPTIONS & FUNCTIONS

The enclosed bluestone courtyard caters for up to 120 guests providing a stylish and enchanting venue for your wedding reception and function. A range of reception possibilities can be catered for including formal sit-down dinners through to cocktail style receptions.

There is also scope for personalising your wedding reception and function where you can be involved in the decorating touches matching the room with your chosen colour scheme using napery, plants, flowers, lighting etc.

The enclosed courtyard is suitable for dancing with either live or taped music enhancing your reception.

DINING ROOM FOR RECEPTIONS & FUNCTIONS

The elegant formal dining room with its superb polished tables and balloon-back chairs is available for smaller functions and receptions. The room caters for up to 40 guests.

WEDDING & FUNCTION CATERING

Barwon Park Mansion can provide you with a list of preferred caterers.
If caterers other than those listed on the Barwon Park list are used, an additional fee will apply.

EVENT PACKAGING

Includes: a guided tour of the Mansion, time for guests to wander, use of the enclosed courtyard or dining room, tables and chairs, personalised event attendant/s

GROUP TOURS

Barwon Park offers discounted entry rates for groups wishing to visit. A guided tour can be arranged with refreshments can be provided.

CONCERTS

Barwon Park provides a magnificent environment to enjoy music in a historic venue and concerts are held on a regular basis. Artists wishing to present a concert at the property are welcome to contact the Property Manager to discuss arrangements.

FILM

Barwon Park is available for photo shoots and filming, and provides opportunities including the majestic mansion, the rustic stables and sweeping rural vistas.
